The ISS and Venus

I just got back from a star party where I pointed out the ISS pass to quite a few people.  Unfortunately, I was distracted and late setting up my camera to catch the pass.  The ISS went amazingly close to Venus.  I did snap this picture are the pass.

iss-02-04-090001There is a good deal of light pollution fro the city.  This was a 20 second exposure.  Trace the line back to the right and you can get a good idea of how close it passed to Venus!

You can check Heavens Above for more passes this week.
